Course in Generic Induction to Coal Mining (Core)

While the full 2 day courses are usually held on a Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday courses dates are subject to change due to unforseen circumstances.

Program Intention
This program has been specifically designed for participant/s to obtain a credit card sized Generic Induction Passport which will then allow them onto a mine site.

Objectives and Outcomes
At the successful completion of the course, you will receive an Interim Passport from the trainer. This will be valid for use for 4 weeks only. The final Passport will be mailed to the address that you nominate on your enrolment form. This Passport is valid for 2 years.

After 2 years, you will be required to complete a shorter refresher training course, to bring you up to date with any changes that have been introduced since you completed your initial course.

  • Emergency procedures

Each of the programs have been included on the National Register of Accredited Courses and Recognised Training Programs. They also satisfy the requirements of the Core Units 'Work Safely' and 'Apply Local Risk Processes' from the relevant National Training Packages.
