Courses in Rear Dump Truck (or Haul Truck) Operation are now under way.
Mining machine training courses include all theory and practical training and successful completion will result in an official Unit of Competency (RIIMPO311A) that authorises you to drive a rear dump (or haul) trucks on coal mine sites (Note! - Generic Induction Passports are still required to work on mine sites).

Students will undertake training in the following areas:

a. applying personal and operational safety procedures
b. truck familiarisation
c. interpreting and communicating information on truck operations
d. completing truck pre-start, start-up and shutdown procedures
e. completing operator maintenance
f. completing essential functions, including:
f.1. safe and smooth operating
f.2. loading operations
f.3. hauling operations
f.4. dumping operations.

Class numbers are limited to allow adequate time for each participant to operate the haul truck.

Course Duration.
Courses are run over a 5 day period with the following agenda:
1 day theory - classroom based
4 days practical training and operation on a machine
Final theory and practical assessments will also be undertaken on the 5th day.
